I received a complementary copy of this book for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.
How Quantum Physicists Build New Beliefs is Greg Kuhn’s followup to one of his previous books, Why Quantum Physicists Do Not Fail. The latter book was one of the best I have read in making quantum principles accessible to the average reader (read my review here). While his new book did not have the same impact on me, it is still a worthwhile. It gives more practical suggestions in using quantum principles to improve one’s life.
“Your previous beliefs and expectations have no bearing on your future manifestations unless you let them,” Kuhn writes. I liked the author’s detailed processes to help the reader re-program powerful subconscious beliefs to yield life changing results. “You will learn, in this book, exactly how to engage the incredible power of your mind, as well as your subconscious brain, and build the new beliefs you need to align your life with your desires,” he says in the first few pages.
Kuhn borrows heavily from Esther and Jerry Hicks’ book “Ask and It is Given”. The teachings of the non-physical entity Abraham as promoted in that book always seemed a little too “woo woo” for me. But Kuhn in his book convinced me the Abraham teachings are very practical, and encouraged me to read more of the Abraham material.
Kuhn’s book goes beyond positive thinking to emphasize how we are feeling. “Simply imagine the feelings you’ll have when your desire manifests in your life,” he writes. “Then, rather than focus on how much you want or need that desire, focus on being that thing you desire by having those feelings it will give you.” This reminded me of Wayne Dyer’s teaching in Wishes Fulfilled and material I have read from other spiritual authors. Kuhn’s gift is in explaining these concepts in easy to understand terms.
If you are new to Kuhn’s work I recommend reading Why Quantum Physicists Do Not Fail first to give you a good “quantum” foundation, and then read How Quantum Physicists Build New Beliefs to build on that understanding.
